Today we worked at the Butler County Victory office. I have never seen cooler phones in my life.
We made phone calls today asking voters which candidate for president they supported. I was actually pretty surprised that a fair amount of people agreed to do the survey. I always thought the second people heard the question "could we ask you a few questions" the automatic response was to hang up. Nevertheless, I got to speak to some great people and find out who they support and what they're major issues were.
The most exciting thing about these phone calls was the actually phone. They look like normal phones but they are hooked up to some sort of program that can be used to save data for surveys. The questions even pop up on the little screen! It was nuts. I could ask people the question and just choose the answer right on the phone.
If anyone knows me, they are well aware of my bad luck involving electronics and general confusion for anything mildly technologically advanced. (I'm trying and hey look I'm writing blogs! Baby steps.) I was utterly confused by how whole process worked but it was easy to use and so efficient.
No piles of paper with responses scribbled in chicken scratch in that office. Props to the Butler County Victory office for being so organized, I hope more campaigns along they was are fortunate enough to have these magical phones.
