Today’s firsts for me:
-Eating at Cracker Barrel
-Ever being in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia
-Listening to the wide variety of music on Jeremy’s ipod
To start things, last night when we were driving in North Carolina and Christie and Jeremy were talking about how much they liked the restaurant Cracker Barrel. I have never been to a Cracker Barrel because we don’t have them in the NYC area. When they found out about this they decided we had to eat there.
The breakfast was delicious, but something was even better. They have a road trip game! You collect game pieces at different Cracker Barrels and you can win prizes. We already have two out of three pieces of a winning puzzle!
Since we didn’t really get to stop and enjoy the three states we’ve driven through so far I’m really excited that we’ll be back to Georgia and South Carolina in the next few weeks, especially because I’ve never been there. Besides Florida the furthest south I’ve ever been is DC. I studied abroad in Italy and got to travel around Europe a bit but I’ve really never been outside of the Northeast coast in the US. There’s definitely going to be many more “firsts” along the way during this summer.
The drive has been pretty good so far. Earlier when I was driving I asked for some tunes. Jeremy obliged and put his ipod on. So far we’ve been listening to a great variety of music including, but not limited to: Bow Wow, Rascal Flats, Beethoven, and Soulja Boy. As I type this “Baby Got Back” is playing.
We still have two more hours of driving until we get to Tampa and we’ll head to Sarasota tomorrow. Oh and I just got yelled at for never having been to a P.F. Changs (sorry I’m from New York). Somehow I think that will change by the end of the summer.
yup yup
This summer is definately one of many first for you and I have decided that for this summer, I will be living vicariously through you. So make sure you call and post a lot, filling me in on every detail because I am glued to Staten Island for the summer :(
I have never eaten at a Crackel Barrel either... I have past them on my journey to the poconos, however, never felt the desire to go inside. I guess now its time for me to try it!
I have, however, been to P.F Changs on multiple occasions and it is FABULOUS!!!!!!! I would recommend pulling over immediately if you see one.
As LP said... we do miss you terribly
I have fun. Live it up. And enjoy : ))))

Apparently there's a ton of chains I've never eaten at. However no one will ever convince me that anyones pizza is better than NYC.
